We are Lucie & Martin. In short, we are an adventurous couple from the Czech Republic, passionate about traveling, photography, a healthy lifestyle, food, and everything that is closely connected with it.
Firstly, we would like to thank you for visiting our travel blog. Hopefully, you are enjoying our content and now want to know more about the people behind this project.
Here is our story.
When we met back in 2008, we were still students, didn't have any money, but the idea of traveling slowly crept into our lives.
There was no better place to awaken our wanderlust than by backpacking and camping around our home country, the Czech Republic.
Later, the first big adventure as a couple led us to Azerbaijan, a small country where Europe and Asia meet, and this travel experience changed our minds and our way of life.
There was something so genuine and pure about this trip that sent us on a different path.
After we graduated from university, we packed all our stuff for a year into a backpack and set off to explore New Zealand with Work & Travel Visa in the pocket.
This country will forever be our emotional affair as we lived there for 15 months and had an incredible time while combining living in a car, a fair amount of work, and lots of hikes.
When the time to leave came, we took a detour before getting home via Australia, South East Asia, West Papua, and then we finally settled in Prague for another two years.
We cannot say the popular that working 9-5 was deadening. In fact, you will also never hear from us that traveling indefinitely is the best way to enjoy your life.
We both liked our jobs, enjoyed city life, restaurants, concerts, theaters, walks around beautiful Prague.
Meanwhile, we grasped every opportunity to travel and visited several countries during our vacation time, Canada, the United States, or Nepal among them.
And perhaps at this time, a persistent idea, fueled by the fondest memories of New Zealand adventure, started another chapter in our lives.
We again wanted to experience freedom, and a different travel style, allowing us to get a deeper connection with a foreign country and local people.
To understand us better, we are a couple who prefers to take action. We do not talk about our dreams over and over again; we simply try to fulfill them.
Even though we were quite torn to leave Prague and our jobs, we applied once more for Work and Travel Visas, this time in Canada, and luckily, we received approval.
That year in Canada (Calgary, to be precise) was hard as we worked a lot because we tried to save every single cent to save money on our planned year-long trip.
The year has passed quickly, and we were ready to start exploring South America and Central America.
A few months before we set off, we launched this blog of ours, where we planned to share tips on places we visited. As it turned out, it was a great idea.
Once we returned to the Czech Republic, we started working full-time on this blog because, honestly, it is tough to be productive on the road, and we felt that our site has potential.
Today, we are quite settled, take mostly shorter trips, and write mostly travel content from our own experience.
We also want to share with you tips on working from home and everything closely related to this topic, because it became our lifestyle and we know it is not easy to balance it.

Running a travel blog is a time-consuming job that takes a lot of effort (like any other work done with a passion), and it is not easy to make a living in such a competitive industry.
